A few simple guidelines keep Dancehouse Miami safe, positive, and welcoming for every dancer and family. Please review these policies before your first class.

Policies That Keep Dancing Fun for Everyone

By enrolling at Dancehouse Miami, students and parents agree to the rules and regulations below. They are here to protect our dancers, respect our instructors, and keep our studio the caring, professional place our families love. If anything is unclear, we are always happy to help. Registration & Enrollment

A completed registration form and signed waiver are required before a student participates in any class.
Enrollment is ongoing throughout the season and continues until written notice of withdrawal is received.
New students are welcome to one complimentary trial class per dance style to find the right fit.
Students are placed in classes by age and ability; placement is at the discretion of the instructor and director.

Tuition & Payment

Tuition is billed monthly and is due on the 1st of each month, regardless of the number of classes that fall in the month.
A one-time annual registration fee applies per student or family at the start of each season.
Payments more than 10 days late may incur a late fee, and students may be unable to participate until the balance is current.
Tuition is not pro-rated or refunded for missed classes; please use a make-up class instead (see Attendance).

Attendance & Punctuality

Regular attendance is essential, especially as recital and competition routines are taught.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so dancers are warmed up and ready when class begins.
Dancers arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to observe for safety reasons.
Make-up classes for missed sessions may be arranged in a comparable class, subject to availability.

Dress Code & Attire

Trying out a class? Wear anything comfortable you can dance in — leggings, a sports bra or fitted top — with hair in a bun.
Once enrolled, the studio uniform is required for class. Class attire is not wear-what-you-want: dancers order the official uniform at enrollment, and instructors will advise on style-specific shoes.
Hair must be secured back (a bun for ballet) so it stays out of the face during movement.
No jewelry, gum, or street shoes on the dance floor. Dance shoes are not to be worn outside the studio.
Please label all dancewear, shoes, and bags with the student's name.

Studio Etiquette & Conduct

We expect respect and kindness toward instructors, staff, and fellow dancers at all times.
No food or drink other than water is permitted in the studios. Please keep the lobby and dressing areas tidy.
Cell phones are silenced during class. Parents observe quietly when viewing is permitted.
Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in a dancer being asked to sit out, and repeated issues may affect enrollment.

Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Safety

Students should be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before class and picked up promptly afterward.
Children must be signed out by a parent or an authorized adult listed on the registration form.
Please notify the studio in writing of any allergies, injuries, or medical conditions we should know about.
Dancehouse Miami is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.

Withdrawal & Refunds

Recital & Performances

Participation in the year-end recital is optional but encouraged; a costume and recital fee applies for participants.
Consistent attendance in the weeks leading up to performances is required to keep choreography on track.
Costume measurements and orders are placed on a set timeline; deadlines are firm to ensure on-time delivery.

Health & Closures

Please keep sick dancers home. Students with a fever or contagious illness should stay home until fully recovered.
The studio observes major holidays; the seasonal calendar is shared at the start of each year.
In the event of severe weather or an emergency closure, families will be notified by text and email, and make-up options offered.

Photography & Media

Dancehouse Miami may photograph or film classes and events for promotional use unless you opt out in writing.
Out of respect for other families, please obtain permission before photographing or recording other students.
Choreography taught at the studio is the property of Dancehouse Miami and may not be reproduced without permission.
