Jazz is one of the most exciting and versatile styles a dancer can learn. At Dancehouse Miami, our jazz classes blend strong technique with flexibility, sharp movement, and the performance flair that makes dancers shine on stage.
Taught by experienced instructors in a positive, caring studio, our jazz classes help dancers develop musicality, confidence, and stage presence. Dancers learn to move with energy and control while building the foundation that carries into competition and performance. A strong base in ballet technique makes jazz even more powerful.
Our jazz classes welcome dancers ages 5 and up, from first-timers to advanced performers. We group classes by age and ability so every student is both challenged and supported, and beginners are always welcome with no prior experience needed.

Dancers can begin jazz at Dancehouse Miami around age 5. Our classes are grouped by age and ability so younger dancers learn fundamentals in a fun, supportive setting while building toward more advanced movement.
No. We welcome complete beginners as well as experienced dancers. Classes are grouped by level so every student starts in the right place and progresses at a comfortable, encouraging pace.
Fitted, comfortable clothing that allows free movement is recommended, along with jazz shoes and hair pulled back. Reach out and we will happily share specifics for your dancer’s class.
Yes. Ballet builds the technique, alignment, and control that make jazz stronger and safer. Many of our dancers take both to get the most out of their training.
All of our classes run one hour, with time for a proper warm-up, technique, and combinations at every age and level.
