Rochelle Fereira is the Founder and Artistic Director of Dancehouse Miami, a premier dance conservatory dedicated to technical excellence, artistic integrity, and developing confident, accomplished young dancers. Recognized for her exceptional training methods and commitment to excellence, she has established herself as one of South Florida’s leading dance educators — preparing students for competitive, collegiate, and professional opportunities while inspiring discipline, confidence, and a lifelong passion for the performing arts.
Rochelle’s professional training began with her acceptance into the highly selective New World School of the Arts High School, one of the nation’s premier performing arts conservatories, where admission is earned through a rigorous audition process. During her sophomore year, she was accepted into the pre-professional training program at The School of Ballet Chicago, relocating to continue her intensive classical ballet education while completing her academic studies. She then returned to Miami to complete a professional internship with the Miami City Ballet School, further refining her classical technique.
Rochelle later earned a dance scholarship to Southern Methodist University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the internationally recognized Meadows School of the Arts. While at SMU, she toured throughout the United States with Artec Worldwide, gaining valuable professional performance experience before launching her international career.
Following graduation, Rochelle performed in four major production shows with Celebrity Cruises, traveling throughout Europe and the Caribbean. She then relocated to Thessaloniki, Greece, where she lived and performed as a featured dancer for internationally acclaimed Greek recording artist Kurculis, maintaining an intensive schedule of six live performances each week. Upon returning to the United States, she continued performing with national production companies, appearing on Univision and in national television commercials.
As an educator, Rochelle founded the dance programs at Doral Academy Charter Middle School, Somerset Academy, and Sports Leadership and Management Academy (SLAM). In 2008, she founded Miami Dance Theatre, where she trained award-winning dancers and helped students earn acceptance into respected collegiate dance programs and professional training institutions.
Building on that success, Rochelle founded Dancehouse Miami, where she continues to provide elite training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, ballroom, and acrobatics. Her philosophy combines exceptional technical instruction with artistry, discipline, and mentorship — creating an environment where dancers are challenged to reach their highest potential while developing the confidence and work ethic that extend far beyond the studio.
